Wellness @ work

I have spent over 10 years working in the hospitality industry & understand first hand how demanding & stressful it can be. Routine is hard to come by, the hours are long & daily patterns are difficult to maintain. You don't often get a 'lunch break' or much time to nourish or hydrate yourself throughout the day. You spend most of the day on your feet, fuelled by caffeine & adrenaline. This can have a knock on effect on your sleep, energy, productivity, mood & overall everyday health. 

I offer bespoke group workshops to encourage you & your staff to build healthy habits in the workplace. Empowering you to make long lasting changes & implementing nutritional & wellness practices so that you & your staff remain healthy in mind & body. 

The office for national statistics reported that an estimated 141.4 million working days were lost because of sickness or injury in the UK in 2018. This is the highest rate since 2009 (146.9 million). Workplace health & wellbeing needs to take more focus & priority in order for this figure not to increase further. 

Minor illnesses (coughs & colds) were the most common reason for sickness absence in 2018, followed by musculoskeletal problems & mental health conditions (anxiety & depression). All of these areas can be addressed & steps can be put in place to help prevent staff absences. We spend most of our lives at work, it should be an environment that we can thrive in, both personally and professionally.
